Kathleen is a designer and artist working in watercolor, printmaking, and photography. Her work is informed by earlier ways of living—when folks were closely connected to their craftsmanship, to the outdoors, and to one another. She enjoys studying antiques and local history, learning about life through the tools, books, correspondence, and artifacts that remain. Along the way she has also developed a deep interest in ecology and land stewardship, with an emphasis on cultivating native plants and re-wilding landscapes back to sustainable ecosystems.
She grew up just outside of Boston, Massachusetts, studied art in New Hampshire, and learned letterpress printing in the woods of Vermont. She now lives in southern Maine and divides her time between her home on the midcoast and her tiny cabin on a nearby pond. She holds degrees in fine art, human factors, and environmental science. Her professional design portfolio is available here.
